The boys are hoping to convince the world (or at least the West) that violence in hockey is a worse influence on our kids than violent content in Hip-Hop lyrics. "Every kid knows that he can't act like 50 cent in the real world," explained Hunnicutt. "What that kid may not realize is that it's not ok to act like Todd Bertuzzi, or any other hockey goon who goes around sucker punching their opponents." "We need better role models for our kids!" added Co-op. The DJs will be explaining their platform at a series of lectures, which will happen at the 7-11 after the dance party in each city. While Co-op eats all of his tub of nachos, and the uneaten portion (usually half) of Hunnicutt's, the boys will field questions and discuss the platform. Of course, the main attraction of this tour is the party. Hunnicutt and Co-op deftly blend only the finest Hip-hop, Funk, Disco, Reggae, R 'n B and everything else on 4-turntables, keeping the party moving with their infectious energy and hilarious microphone banter. Rather than jumping on the latest musical trends, they apply the classic block-party aesthetic: good music, mixed flawlessly with zero pretencion. Already the undisputed champions of Winnipeg's dance party scene, Co-op and Hunnicutt have begun to expand their empire. October saw the duo tear up Brooklyn's hottest party at The Rub, as well as a performance at the Pop Montreal festival. They've been featured on Much Music's Going Coastal, and their mixtapes have made noise across Canada and beyond. In the end, what distinguishes Hunnicutt and Co-op is their creativity. They have an untouchable promo game: outlandish press releases, youtube movies, flash video games and other publicity stunts are now commonplace for our boys.
